Skullcap

Scutellaria lateriflora - A herbaceous perennial in the mint family, the Scutellaria (Skullcap) genus includes about 350 different species! As part of the mint family, it is spread by runners underground which makes it a fast grower but not invasive.

We grow Skullcap, Official (Scutellaria lateriflora).

Plant 1 foot apart.

Tip:  You can use the leaves fresh or dried. If you’re planning to dry, hang the leaves upside down in a dark and dry location for best results. Skullcap is used to help tension, headaches, stress, and anxiety. Our favorite way to use it is as a tea or tincture. Especially a sleepy time tea!
