Sage, Scarlet
Salvia coccinea - A plant of many names, Scarlet Sage, Tropical Sage, Texas Sage, Blood Sage. Scarlett Sage is a nectar plant for butterflies and hummingbirds. The beautiful, vibrant, and delicate red blooms make it a perfect addition to a wildflower garden or cottage garden. Scarlet Sage is a member of the mint family and is native to Mexico and the southeastern United States.
Plant 1-2 feet apart.
Tip: We like to plant this in areas that we can enjoy the view of the hummingbirds as well! Plant it in your front yard or a manicured garden location for a vibrant look. Scarlett Sage also works well as a border plant. It’s best to plant in masses.
