Parsley, Italian Flat
Petroselinum crispum var. neapolitanum - A biennial staple herb, Italian Flat Parsley is one that everyone needs to have in their kitchen herb garden. The stems can grow up to 12-18 inches tall with flat leaves that are similar to cilantro leaves. Parsley is not only the perfect garnish but it’s also rich in iron and vitamin C! Parsley is also a favorite host plant of the black swallowtail butterfly caterpillar.
Space 10-12 inches apart.
Tip: Typically you’d use Italian Parsley in cooking more than Curly Parsley because of its strong flavor. Parsley is used in a wide range of savory recipes and pairs especially well with chicken and fish, as well as other ingredients like butter, lemon, and garlic.
