Oakleaf Hydrangea
A standout native shrub, Oakleaf Hydrangea is loved for its large, cone-shaped clusters of creamy white flowers, bold oak-shaped leaves, and brilliant red, orange, and burgundy fall color. In winter, its peeling cinnamon bark adds beauty even after the leaves drop. It’s a true four-season plant that’s as low-maintenance as it is eye-catching.
We carry standard Oakleaf Hydrangea and dwarf cultivars, which share similar planting and care needs.
Space: 4–8 feet apart, depending on mature size.
Tip: Plant as a focal point in the garden, in a mixed border, or in naturalized woodland plantings. For the best display, give it morning sun with afternoon shade in hotter climates, and enjoy year-round interest from flowers, foliage, and bark.
