Mullein, Greek
Verbascum olympicum - A variety of Common Mullein, Greek Mullein can grow up to 6 feet tall and produces a beautiful candelabrum of bright yellow flowers. This is the most productive species of mullein for flower production providing a large supply of nectar for honey bees and native pollinators.
Greek Mullein is preferred for flower production while Common Mullein is preferred for leaf production. We suggest picking one variety and sticking with it so they don’t hybridize.
Space 2 feet apart
Tip: If you have an area of your yard or garden that gets a lot of sun but doesn’t have great soil, Greek Mullein would be perfect to fill in the void. Especially if you need some height to fill in spaces.
