Pycnanthemum verticillatum var. pilosum - Also referred to as Whorled Mountain Mint, Hairy Mountain Mint, has small white to lavender flowers with tiny purple spots. The stems and leaves are more hairy than other mountain mint varieties giving it its name. Walking-by this plant you can pick up on the familiar mint fragrance. It’s another mountain mint that is beloved by pollinators and a must-have in your native garden.

Space 12-18 inches apart.

Tip: Due to the amount that it spreads, we suggest not planting Hairy Mountain Mint in a small area. Similar to other mountain mints, Hairy Mountain Mint is traditionally used in teas to help relieve headaches. Allow the hot water to steep the leaves for 5-10 minutes for a mint-like aromatic tea.
