Mint, Peppermint

Mentha x villosa - Peppermint is a favorite among herb growers as a delicious culinary herb and medicinal herb. It’s been used for ages to help relieve headaches, muscle cramps, and indigestion problems. This herb loves to take over so give it plenty of room or as we suggest, plant it in its own individual container. In the garden, this vigorous culinary herb also deters aphids, cabbage flies and other harmful insects, protecting nearby plants.

Tip: Peppermint is an old fashioned favorite that makes a wonderful natural barrier against unwanted insects and pests. Plant Peppermint around the foundation of your home to thwart ants, mice and pesky vermin that may try to break into your home, and use crushed Peppermint in your windowsills, pantries and utility rooms to further keep these pests at bay.
