Lavender

Lavandula spp. - A timeless favorite, Lavender is cherished for its soothing fragrance, silvery-green foliage, and spikes of purple flowers that bloom from late spring through summer. This drought-tolerant perennial attracts pollinators while repelling pests, making it a great companion plant in the garden. Known for its calming and antiseptic properties, lavender is commonly used in teas, sachets, and skin care. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it’s both beautiful and functional in herb gardens, borders, and containers.

Space plants about 12-18 inches apart.

Tip: Besides adding to herbal gardens, Lavender makes a stunning low hedge or edging plant, filling the air with its relaxing aroma when brushed against.
