Eutrochium spp. - A popular plant for native gardens, Joe Pye Weed stands tall at about 5-7 feet with tiny pink-purple blooms with a sweet vanilla scent that attract butterflies and pollinators. This is a host plant for many varieties of moth species and in the fall American Goldfinch feed on the seeds. Joe Pye Weed is also a late season bloomer so just as other flowers start to finish up it provides some beautiful color to the garden.

Space 2-4 feet apart.

Tip: This is an excellent plant to fill drainage ditches or low-lying areas. When clumped together in mass groupings, it provides a wonderful natural border and architectural height to a garden.
