Dandelion, Wild
Taraxacum officinale - Often discarded as a weed, we are essentially killing off one of the most useful plants at our disposal. Wild Dandelion brings bursts of yellow and signs of life as one of the first plants to appear in early spring. All parts of the plant are edible, especially the leaves which are incredibly high in vitamins and minerals, rivaling some of our favorite greens like kale.
Tip: The dried roots can be used in teas as an excellent source of vitamins and minerals to support liver function and your immune system. The leaves can be used in fresh salads and the flowers can be infused in oils to use on your skin to detoxify and brighten.
