Chervil
Anthriscus cerefolium – A delicate annual herb often called “French Parsley,” Chervil features soft, fern-like leaves and a mild, slightly sweet flavor with hints of anise. A staple in French cuisine, it’s perfect for elevating eggs, salads, and light sauces. This cool-season herb also attracts beneficial insects, making it a lovely and functional addition to your garden.
Plant 6–12 inches apart.
Tip: Chervil thrives in cooler weather and prefers a bit of afternoon shade in Georgia. Succession plant every few weeks in spring and fall for a continuous harvest, and keep it close to the kitchen for easy snipping while cooking!
