Vitex agnus-castus - A striking deciduous shrub or small tree, Chaste Tree is known for its aromatic, gray-green foliage and showy spikes of lavender-blue flowers that bloom from summer to fall. A favorite of pollinators, especially bees and butterflies, it adds both beauty and biodiversity to the garden. Traditionally used in herbal medicine, its seeds have been valued for supporting hormonal balance. Drought-tolerant and deer-resistant, this fast-growing plant makes an excellent focal point in landscapes.

Space plants about 6-10 feet apart.

Tip: Besides adding to pollinator gardens, Chaste Tree makes a stunning ornamental tree or flowering hedge that thrives in hot, dry conditions.
