Catmint
Nepeta spp. - A hardy, aromatic perennial, Catmint is beloved for its soft, silvery-green foliage and long-lasting spikes of lavender-blue flowers that bloom from late spring through fall. Highly attractive to pollinators, especially bees and butterflies, this low-maintenance herb is also deer and rabbit resistant. While it shares a family with catnip, Catmint has a milder scent and is more commonly grown as an ornamental plant for borders, pathways, and cottage gardens.
Space plants about 18-24 inches apart.
Tip: Besides adding to pollinator-friendly gardens, Catmint makes a beautiful, fragrant edging plant that softens pathways and spills gracefully over rock walls.
