Black Eyed Susan
Rudbeckia hirta - A garden staple that is tried and true, Black-Eyed Susan or Rudbeckia, is a native wildflower with daisy-like blooms. Its ability to self seed makes it a wonderful choice to add to a beautiful meadow and wildflower garden. Once they mature and get hairy leaves they become deer resistant. The pollinators also love their showy blooms.

Tip: Rudbeckia is an excellent companion plant with Echinacea/Purple Cone Flower, New England Asters, and Russian Sage. Plant in clusters for a beautiful “meadow appearance”.
