Alyssum
Lobularia maritima - Alyssum is a low-growing, fragrant herb that forms a carpet of tiny, delicate flowers in shades of white, pink, and purple. Blooming from spring through fall, it attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies while also acting as a natural pest deterrent in the garden. Its sweet scent and trailing habit make it perfect for edging garden beds, filling in gaps between stones, or spilling gracefully over containers.
Space plants about 6-8 inches apart.
Tip: Besides adding to your flower beds, alyssum is a great companion plant for vegetables, helping to attract beneficial insects that keep pests in check.
